I tried to go to bed a couple of times -- the first time I found some new music to listen to, the second time I was alreay in bed and I realized they were starting enforcement of parking tomorrow... and it was less than 4 hours until the time started. Well, I got half as much sleep as I wanted to -- I woke up at 6 and couldn't fall back asleep again -- maybe I'll try again in an hour or so. Or maybe I should just get up and eat... OH WAIT, NOTHING'S OPEN!! I want to sleep :(

The fair is finally done! I did like doing it, of course, and it was definitely awesome staying here with Betsy and Chee Sing (we ended up having a few diablo parties, movie nights, etc.), but I'm very glad to be done. Betsy's sister is cool, she's been playing Diablo with us too. Now to sleep a LONG time and then head back to Bend... I think though that I have now made up for my lack of people earlier in the summer -- I now see people all the time, and it isn't going to change any time soon :P

Just found out that my uncle probably doesn't have very long to live -- I probably won't ever see him again. It's kind of a surprise to me, since the last I heard was when my family was visiting Wisconsin a month ago and he was waterskiing with them. At this point, I can just hope he hangs on long enough for me to see him once more. Aside from that my life is great right now, I finally got my schedule changed to mornings for the fair, so I'll be able to see Chee Sing while he's awake (instead of creepily staring at him while he's sleeping). It's time to go to bed... whether I can sleep might be another matter entirely.

Chrissy, I really didn't know... I guess that's why Chee Sing hates me. And I wouldn't be surprised that you gossip about me Betsy, but sleep with Aaron!? Kenny, having you be the opposite sex would really freak me out, and Jason, I've known that for a long time.

Well, I doubt Yellow Submarine is my favorite song now, but I don't really have one now.

I actually managed to secure a job at the fair... now to see about getting me schedule changed so I can actually see Chee Sing once in a while. Hopefully that means I'm going to get paid for my work. Hope I can stay in contact with people through the next week-and-a-half, and come visit at the fair!

Well, now I'm in salem for the next couple weeks (assuming I actually have a job). I'll try to remain in contact with everyone, but come and visit sometime!!! Like usual, I'll probably be online most of the time, but I won't actually be at the computer as much as usual. Anyway, having fun here so far, and told Betsy my interesting story (Chrissy is the only other person that gets to hear it, at least for now). Life is making itself quite interesting nowadays (but people talking to me is always welcome).

Well, the family is back home. Good and bad aspects, but at least now there are PEOPLE!!! And they somehow manage to fill my room up when I'm trying to go to bed. I somehow forgot that when I was home by myself. Sister is leaving for Hawaii in a couple days, and I won't see her for another 4 months or so, and then not again until summer. It's my favorite sister too :(

Finally starting to see State Fair plans coming together, that is exciting.

(For those of you who don't know, I only have one sister, though she is awesome)

(And for those of you envying my ability to leave work any time, it's mostly because I haven't gotten called in to do any work... oh well, I have plenty to do like paint my own house and learn ArchiCAD)

Finding out episodes of naruto you spent hours downloading are in french is kind of funny :P
Redownloading them is not so funny.
Cats pooping on the floor is even less funny.
Less funny still is having to clean it up.

Making an effort to make contact with people is a good thing.
Having people tell you they will call you and then back out is not such a good thing (I'm not mad though, just disappointed -- I was looking forward to that phone call).
LAN parties are fun, even if they are really small :)
Sleeping is also fun, I should do it more.

Things I have learned in the last day:

SOMEONE is always going to have to do the dishes.
Conditioner makes hair much more managable.
It's a bit scarier to cook meat when there is nobody to tell me when it's done (the woes of being colorblind).
Being home by yourself is far quieter than I like, regardless of whether I like my parents being home.

Well, my ankle is returning (slowly) to normal, but I am only working when I feel like it now. I am also going to paint my house (separate from work, so I get paid more!) Then, I am learning the Architectural Design software my dad uses so I can eventually have a job working for him. So now, how much I work depends almost entirely on my own personal motivation. Because of this, I now have no restraints for going places during the week (which means I'll be able to make it to talk to the concessions people for the state fair. Hopefully I'll be able to go diving with Chrissy relatively soon, it's just a matter of finding the right time.

On another note, I finally got a letter off to Beth. I feel really bad that it took me so long to do, but what's even worse is the time it took me to send it after writing it, ack!

Anyway, I'm starting work on planning for my birthday party (and Nathan's, regardless of whether he thinks it's a good idea or wants to do it, I'm sure he'll come to his own birthday party if it's happening.) It's being planned for after State Fair sometime (early september, but after labor day). Input on dates would be appreciated (this will be a multi-day event, probably 2 days and two nights, or so, and we'll finally get to have a real Bend trip.)

Lastly, something stolen from ehow, who stole it from emerosan (however it's spelled):

Weekend + Monday

My weekend was very fun, drove to Lake Oswego friday evening to visit Jason. Here are the vague details.

First, Jason and I hung out in his room, went for a run, slept, went to his dad's house, shot off multiple bottle rocket/firecracker combinations, and worked the rest of the evening getting his cabin and the path to it cleaned up. Then we went to Sharis and met Caitlin there, and I spent the night at Caitlin's house. Woke up, went for a walk, played frisbee, went to watch Spiderman (which is very good, by the way), and then went swimming. Then I drove home and watched fireworks with my family.

I had a very enjoyable weekend. If I had to some it up in two words, I would give one word to each person I spent part of the weekend with -- Jason: Interesting (It's Jason, how can it not be interesting?). Caitlin: Fun (even though before I came she convinced herself that I wasn't going to have fun).

Then today was an interesting (and sucky) day at work. The guy I was working with quit halfway through the day, a dog rampaged through a bunch of the work we did, and we ran out of paint before finishing. What a great day (and it was 13 hours long). At least I can console myself in the fact that I made quite a bit of money for one day.

Bed Time

The good part about going to work early is that I finish early. The bad part is that I have to go to bed way earlier than I am used to, and I never seem to get to bed early enough. It seems like I should be up for another 8 hours after eating dinner. Work has treated me well so far. I'm starting to get the hang of this "painting" thing. Since finally getting home from school, I haven't really left home at all except to work. Finally, I will actually be going somewhere for a weekend, and the weekend after, now I wonder when I will be home for a weekend. Hopefully soon I can get myself a dry suit and start scuba diving with Chrissy. Morning comes early tomorrow (5:30) so I had better get to sleep. Maybe I will post more later.
